Brief overview

We’ve been working on Namespace for a few months and now we are officially releasing the Alpha version on Goerli, open for testing.

In the spirit of a true web3 culture, Namespace is building products and features that are community-centric. Therefore, we are stealth launching our Dapp with a select few people testing it and providing feedback to help us shape Namespace to fit users’ needs as best as possible.

For those who don’t know, at Namespace we come up with unique ways for ENS name owners to get the most out of their Names. For now, we built unruggable subname selling, price customization, search, and registration of names and subnames, and plan on adding a lot more.

Become the Alpha

If you want to become an Alpha tester follow the steps below:

1. Join our Discord server: https://discord.gg/3TC6a8uACt
2. Do the Verification
3. Go to the ‘Roles’ channel
4. React with 🥷 (ninja) emoji to get the ‘alpha’ role (available for a few weeks)
5. Head over to the ‘general chat’ channel to talk and vibe and brainstorm ideas. Or the ‘feedback’ channel below and let us know your thoughts and suggestions.

A few things

When testing the Dapp, you’ll be using our Alpha version of the app so you can test all the features we have so far.

NOTE** While testing, let us know any friction points you encounter, any confusing things, bad UI/UX, or anything that was not as intuitive as you’d like it to be.

Since our app is in the Alpha version, we encourage everyone to use hot wallets for testing. Even though it’s on Goerli testnet.

Free Goerli ETH

For those who don’t know — if you want to test Namespace or any other web3 project in the future that’s only on testnet, you’ll need Goerli ETH tokens.

How to get them?

When you got to app.namespace.ninja you’ll see the “Claim Test ETH” button in the navigation bar in the upper right corner of the website.

Or, you can go to our Discord and ping @thecap.eth (cap) and he’ll send you some.

Alternatively, you can go to: https://testnetbridge.com/ and buy lots of Goerli ETH for fairly cheap. Currently, 0.005 ETH (about $8) gets you around 80 Goerli ETH.

One other way you can get Goerli ETH is that you can just ask some people (privately or publicly) to send it to you. People in web3 are nice. 🫶

Pro tip — Communities that have active developers, or individuals that are builders, usually have lots of Goerli ETH. 🤫

Disclaimer

This is an Alpha version of our product. Even though our app has been heavily tested and is only on Goerli testnet, we still encourage people to use their hot wallets to register Names and test the app.

Heads up

If you encounter this warning when you give permission to our Listing contract, we want to emphasize that you’re only granting access to your ENS names, and not every NFT you own. This is a Metamask communication issue that we were unable to fix with their team because it only appears on the Goerli testnet. They are working on fixing this issue and it may go live sometime soon.
