Intro
We’re thrilled to announce the launch of Namespace Dev Portal (alpha version) — a web app built to streamline the integration of ENS subname registrations. It’s designed to help developers and teams easily build, launch, and scale ENS Subname projects or integrate Subnames in their apps. Whether you’re managing wallet names, player usernames, member identities, launching AI agents, expanding your offer with Subname registrations, or just testing subnames, with our easy-to-use app, clear documentation, and scalable infrastructure, you’ll spend less time troubleshooting and more time shipping. Ready to dive in? Let’s get started.
Context
Integrating ENS can sometimes feel overwhelming for developers building in Web3, especially those just getting started. There is a lot to learn, a lot of documentation to review, fragmented tooling and libraries occur, and a steep learning curve, which slows down building time and presents friction to ENS adoption.
Although products can operate just fine without ENS, incorporating it shows class and a commitment to high standards. It shows a dedication to building products that are not only functional but also meticulously crafted with a major focus on user experience. We often talk about how others perceive ENS as a ‘vitamin’ rather than a ‘painkiller’—it’s nice to have, but apps can work without it. Therefore, all friction to adoption must be eliminated, and barriers to entry must be zero.
The Namespace Dev Portal addresses exactly that. It streamlines ENS integration by allowing developers to create subnames, edit records, get API keys, and embed registration into their apps. Using the web app and our clear documentation, it is easier than ever to bring ENS-powered identities into all projects.
Supercharging Subname Integrations
Over time, we’ve worked with a diverse range of clients across industries, including wallets, gaming platforms, L2 chains, developer tooling providers, AI launchpads, Web3 communities, and so on. Through these collaborations, we’ve gained a pretty good understanding of the market’s needs and the common roadblocks that hinder development and adoption. We built this product with those lessons in mind, stripping away unnecessary complexity to deliver a lean, clean, and focused experience that empowers developers rather than overwhelming them, keeping it as simple as possible.
We’re very excited to launch the first version of the Dev Portal. This dev-friendly toolkit lets you create, edit, and scale subnames effortlessly—leaving you free to focus on what matters: building killer apps and identities powered by ENS.
The Spark Behind It
Why did we build this? It started with our own issue—watching devs and projects choose not to wrestle with ENS subname integration and only bigger, usually financially well-equipped teams could afford the time and resources to build and run their own subname infrastructure. We wanted a tool that didn’t just work but felt right—intuitive, fast, and future-proof. After months of tinkering, the Dev Portal was born to address the market need and make life easier for our fellow devs.
Built for developers and teams who need quick, safe, and secure in-app Subname registration. Furthermore, it can be used by any other teams, including service providers, who rely on subname issuance and management as a core piece of their product and business. It’s a complete toolkit designed to accelerate and scale ENS adoption for everyone.
What’s Under the Hood
Here’s what makes Dev Portal stand out:
- Simple Subname Management: Create subnames, edit records, and update the resolver with a few clicks—no fuss, no drama.
- API Keys Generation: Create API keys and connect subname registrations to your app seamlessly.
- Crystal-Clear Docs: Dive in with documentation so straightforward, that you’ll wonder why it wasn’t always this easy.
- Scalable Infrastructure: From testing a single subname to rolling out millions, it’s built to grow with you.
- Clean and simple UI/UX: We’ve made sure there are zero distractions to getting set up and getting the job done!
It’s quick, clean, and designed to slot right into your workflow—whether you’re a solo dev or a full team.
Why This, Why Now?
ENS adoption is skyrocketing as blockchain identities power everything from wallets to gaming to AI. But the tool to streamline, amplify, and harness its power? They haven’t seen much significant adoption, and are just starting—aiming to change that. Namespace Dev Portal lands today to meet that demand head-on, giving developers a fast track to bring ENS subnames into their projects without the usual grind.

Roadmap
Launching the Dev Portal is just the beginning of our journey to provide the most robust and complete ENS subname services for Web3 builders. Our goal is to equip developers with the tools they need to integrate ENS effortlessly, making decentralized identity more accessible and used across Web3.
What’s Next?
- ENSIP-20 (Wildcard Writing) — We need to implement the latest ENSIP and support standardized subname structures for management.
- L2 Subnames Integration – Enabling L2 subnames, allowing developers to manage subnames across major L2 networks.
- Namechain Integration – Once the Namechain launches, we’ll integrate it into our platform, enabling a more efficient registry for ENS subnames. This will enhance performance, improve trustlessness, and unlock new possibilities for ENS-powered applications.
Beyond these milestones, we’re committed to continuous innovation—expanding support for additional integrations, improving the developer experience, and ensuring that ENS subnames become a core building block of Web3 infrastructure.
Your ENS Journey Starts Here
This isn’t just an app—it’s your shortcut to unlocking ENS-powered identities at scale. We can’t wait to see what you build with it.
Let’s make something epic. And when you do, make sure to let us know! 🫡
